Great place to stay and a reasonable price. Room was modern, clean and had everything you need - including the best flapjack you've ever had! Prime location - really good walks and sightseeing around the estate. Great for dogs as there is a garden with a stream to paddle in. Breakfast 10/10 - top quality fresh ingredients and well cooked - they have maintained the high standard even with the cafe closing. Cannot recommend enough.

This is a lovely gem just a minute from the A303. Good food and great coffee served by a lovely team. The chocolate Guinness is my favourite and their ginger cake is the best I know.

Very Small room for a superior double. The place needs some maintenance and repainting .The door we had on Avon challet did not close easily and needs repainting.Same inside bathroom door does not lock properly. Food was nice..London prices .Service is adequate..polite and helpful. Overall the place is let down as there is a lack of maintenance and general upkeep of property. Beautiful location ut this does not mitigate the general appearance of the property.

Spend few days in the area during winter solstice. By walking around we found this gem! A lovely place with friendly staff. Had the best butternut squash soup! They even have a small zero waste shop.

Always welcomed by a lovely smile from staff. All professional and happy to help. Dog friendly which makes such a difference! Cute restaurant and a great outdoor area with covered Canopy and heaters. Access to river going through their garden which is lovely for the children during the summer. All food and drinks are lovely. Our children love the hot chocolates and cakes and I think their sandwiches and sausage rolls are amazing! An all round lovely restaurant suitable for breakfast, lunch and over night stays. Would definitely recommend!!

We stayed for 3 nights to attend a family wedding. As stated below the accommodation and food were outstanding, and the location is stunning ,with a beautiful outdoor dining area , which was so perfect in the lovely sunshine. This was the nicest place we've ever stayed in, and added an extra element to a fantastic wedding weekend. The jewel in the Crown was the staff , particularly Caroline and Alice in front of house who looked after us so well. They were always smiling and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you again we will be back .

We stopped by about lunch time and had some coffees and cake as a picnic in the garden. The guiness cake is the most delicious cake I have ever had. Our over seas guests have left with a great opinion of this village. Next time we will book a table !

We stopped for lunch while passing by. It was just perfect. Lovely outdoor space (indoor looked great too but it was sunny) the garden was cute and the stream was something lovely to look at while waiting to eat. The food was great and served quickly, but not too quick The staff were lively and pleasant. From what we saw of the accommodation it looked good and would be a lovely peaceful place to stay

Lovely little place with great food. the cauliflower bites was 👌🏽👌🏽 just off the A303 and dog friendly as well. We were a large group and came in slightly late for lunch, so they didn’t have enough portions of everything for folks to try, but whatever we got was really good!! Great folks too:)

Hidden gem of a place. Stayed the night whilst passing through to Polperro. Simple evening menu but excellent quality food and breakfast was also excellent with fantastic coffee! Room was clean and very quiet. The place was busy (always a good sign) so service was a little slow in the morning but they managed our expectations so we were happy to wait. Staff were friendly and very apologetic for the delay which we completely understood. Hope to stay again one day!
